EPL Matchweek 5

Everton 2 – 2 Liverpool

Virgil van Dijk’s injury isn’t why Everton came from behind to equalize, Liverpool just failed to be decisive like recent matches and the opponent is not going to sit around and watch them sort things out.

The away teams tactics are to hold the ball and rush them but it failed if you ask me and I will explain. Everton double-marked most of the time; socked up the pressure and attacked without rushing – wish if they did, they would have been counter-attacked letting in a couple of Goals.

At the 72 minutes, the brilliance of Salah’s finish gave Liverpool a lead at 1-2 but I was scared that they wouldn’t hold on to it for long and I was correct. The home team is playing really well and they are on per with Liverpools’s performance so why not an equalizer for the second time.

Chelsea 3 – 3 Southampton

This game is interesting to watch right from the kick-off for me because both sides are not scared to burn all the energy they have and created good chances doing that. It didn’t take too long for Timo Werner to score a brilliant goal for the home side after being disappointed a couple of minutes and I started visualizing Southampton not getting a point in this match because It looks like it’s all based on luck from here on.

I was correct once more, another goal and now it is definitely out of reach for the away team, another brilliant goal from the previous scorer.

The away team went on to have a lucky comeback but the better team won the game and congrats to them even while having one of the worse defence in the Premier League.

Chelsea proved ones more that they can’t hold a lead but congrats to Southhampton, they deserved that one.

Manchester City 1 – 0 Arsenal

It’s a boring match honestly but Raheem Sterling scored at least and that makes me happy. Honestly I slept off and missed a little bit of the ManU match.
