The English premier league continues…….

Chelsea recorded their second loss of the season after an impressive run of 5 games and their first away defeat in the EPL this season. An early spot kick converted by Gylfi Sigurdsson is enough to secure three points for Carlo Ancelloti after enduring a not so good run of results after a solid start to the campaign. Chelsea also failed to claim the top spot with the loss.

The coveted Manchester derby ended in a goaless draw with neither side being so impressive to take the glory. Manchester United’s underwhelming home form continued but their 0-0 draw with a passive Manchester City at least prevented further misery following Champions League embarrassment. City crafted the better chances even though they were far from their fluent best, but ultimately neither side deserved to make the breakthrough as they remain neck-and-neck in seventh and eighth in the table, United now with just five points won at home this term.

Tottenham also dropped points on the road at Crystal palace although still keeping the 10 games unbeaten run intact. Jeffrey Schlupp’s late strike salvaged a deserved 1-1 derby draw for Crystal Palace and prevented Tottenham from going three points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool also failed to capitalize on Tottenham woes to mount the top of the table by playing a 1-1 draw to Fulham as they had to come back through a Mo Salah penalty kick to save the day. The hosts had taken a deserved lead in a first half they dominated when Bobby De Cordova-Reid struck home in emphatic fashion after finding space in the area. The draw leaves Liverpool on second place behind Tottenham with 25 points each and Tottenham edging by a better goal difference.
