EVERTON stunned Liverpool to win 2-0 at Anfield thanks to an early goal from Richarlison and a late penalty from Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Reds had all the possession but couldn’t find the target while their defence continued to prove shaky under pressure. That win takes Everton level on points with Liverpool, only behind them on goal difference and they’re now unbeaten in eight away from home. Next up for them is Southampton at home. For Liverpool, that’s now four losses on the bounce in the Premier League and they’re without a win at home in six. Klopp will be hoping that they can bounce back next time out against Sheffield United. Everton win their first Merseyside derby at Anfield since 1999 with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

MANCHESTER CITY continued their brilliant winning run in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates. Raheem Sterling headed Pep Guardiola’s side in front after just two mins and the away side managed to hold onto their tight lead throughout. It makes it 14 straight wins in the premiership for the Cityzens. The result means that Manchester City move 10 points clear at the top of the league, while Arsenal remain in 10th.

MANCHESTER UNITED pulled out an important win over Newcastle in the Premier League thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes penalty. Manchester United’s quality was on full display as they eased past Newcastle with a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford. Bruce’s side looked to be in a good position after 45 minutes with the match level, but they were not able to push on as the hosts piled the pressure onto Darlow’s goal before James made the Magpies pay with a well-taken strike. From there, the visitors were not able to get themselves back in the contest before a late Fernandes penalty won by Rashford wrapped up the result for Solskjaer. The win sends Manchester second, while Newcastle stay 17th.

Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard fired West Ham into the top four as the Hammers withstood a late Tottenham fightback to hang on for a 2-1 derby victory at the London Stadium. Tottenham have now lost six of their last eight games in all competitions. For David Moyes, there is the added satisfaction of a first-ever win against a side managed by Jose Mourinho and a motivation ahead of next week clash with Manchester City.
